Dev Log 2 - Sem 2 - Production


Our project has been progressing quite smoothly since the pre-production phase. We have come back from a very bumpy start. This past week and a bit, I have worked on setting up the player controller, enemy AI, and the roll mechanic. The player can move around the level and the enemies can chase and damage the player. They aren't too smart yet though, as they don't avoid the terrain if it blocks them from reaching the player. The player can also roll when they press SHIFT which allows them to sneak by guards easily. 

This week I plan on fine tuning the camera controls so that its not so jarring when the player rolls.

Bumpy starts are never good but to pull yourself out of it is impressive. You guys seem to have a good base to conduct a real playtest, all the bug fixes and improvements can come later! Hopefully the upcoming playtest can offer valuable insight to your team.

Glad to see you guys recovering from a bumpy start. That kind of stuff can discourage a team, so to see you guys trudge through that is great.
